About the Job
A key support role within the finance team, the Finance Officer will assist the Financial Controller in maintaining accurate and timely financial operations. This position encompasses a wide array of finance responsibilities, including billing, credit control, payroll support, banking reconciliation, and supplier payments.
Duties will include:
- Preparing and managing termly invoice processes, direct debit collections, and deposit refunds
- Updating banking changes and processing fee income across various platforms
- Leading credit control efforts and debtor reporting
- Assisting with payroll tasks including HMRC submissions and pension reconciliation
- Handling bank, petty cash, and credit card reconciliations
- Generating invoices and managing receivables
- Supporting VAT returns, PAYE, benefit-in-kind reporting, and other compliance tasks
- Undertaking ad hoc finance duties as directed by the Financial Controller
About the Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will hold a recognised finance qualification and possess a solid educational background. They will be detail-oriented, highly organised, and confident using MS Excel and finance software's. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with a proactive mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Receive in Return
In addition to a competitive salary of £35,000 to £40,000, this role offers 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and additional time off during the Christmas period. This is a year-round position with working hours of 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
