Finance Manager / Financial Controller SME international Software Company based in Wokingham, Berkshire.

Wade MacDonald is currently recruiting for a Finance Manager / Controller for a growing SME IT Software company based Wokingham, Berkshire.

This is a hands on Finance Manager / Controller Position. We are looking for someone to both manage the day to day finances but to also implement processes and procedures to ensure that the business is run effectively.

You would manage a team of two part time employees, an Accounts Assistant and an Operations Executive. A new CRM system has been implemented currently but not using it effectively and are looking to implement further automation to reduce the manual processes in the business.

The key responsibilities are:

  • Managing all finance aspects of the Company including but not limited to payroll, VAT, Corporation tax, R& D tax credits

  • Statutory and management reporting

  • Further implementation of the NetSuite Finance and CRM system

  • Business planning and budgeting

  • Cash flow management, treasury and reporting

  • Forex management

  • High level HR guidance

  • Implementation and ongoing management of ISO 27001

  • Ensuring we meet all of our legal obligations including GDPR

  • Contract management and commercial supplier negotiations

  • Management of the office & IT administration function

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Financial Controller who is looking for an opportunity to work in a small growing company to help us drive our business.

You will have experience in similar positions and will be able to demonstrate a successful history of helping a small business to grow. To be proactive in the role and take on all challenges to support the business.

You will need to have the following skill set:

  • a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)

  • advanced excel skills and ability to design modelling reports from databases

  • The majority of our income is derived from the US, therefore familiarity with managing forex will be important.

  • experience with NetSuite is preferred

  • determined and confident to initiate improvement ideas

  • recommend ways of reducing costs and improving efficiency

  • up to date knowledge of all financial aspects and changes in law and regulations

  • hands-on approach and proven ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines

  • team player with a proactive and flexible attitude

£50,000 - £60,000 + Benefits based near Bracknell, Berkshire.
