Wade Macdonald is currently recruiting a Finance Manager for an established and growing business based in Wokingham. This role will suit someone who has a strong background in finance (qualified by experience).
About the role - key responsibilities:
The Finance Manager will support the day to day running of the Finance Department and liaise with both internal staff and external clients. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and keen ambition. The role will be responsible for producing monthly accounts and maintaining the financial data for the business.
- Production of month end accounts, including posting of journals, reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
- Preparation of Sales Listing
- VAT returns
- Review of fortnightly payroll
- Management (mainly administration) of the company fleet
- Calculations for adjustments to customer contract pricing
- Playing a key part in projects to help develop the business
- Ad-hoc reporting and support to other departments throughout the business
- Managing 3 direct reports who are responsible for:
- Invoicing 400+ customers a month for regular service, additional works, and consumables
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Processing purchase ledger invoices
- Processing and paying expense claims
- Setting up new customers
- Credit Control
What you will need to be successful:
- 3 years' experience working in accounts
- A solid understanding of the production of management accounts
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Very good organisation and administration skills and the ability to follow finance processes
- Strong mathematics skills
- Good Excel skills, with the ability to access, input and compile analytical data
- Experience of Sage 50 Accounts
