Finance Manager

£40,000 - £45,000, Newbury

Our Client:

We have been approached by a global manufacturer who are recruiting for a Finance Manager on a 12 month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join an outstanding organisation who are at the forefront of their sector and who are looking for a pro-active, Finance Manager.

About The Role:

A Finance Manager who will be overseeing the finance team and managing the transactional processes, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control and payroll.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the end-to-end transactional finance team and supporting the credit controller with reducing overdue debt levels
  • Completion of month-end reconciliations of key ledger accounts (including purchase ledger)
  • Completing VAT returns
  • Weekly and monthly payment runs
  • Invoicing printing and posting
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with group reporting and evaluating data reports
  • Intercompany recharges
  • Assist with audits as required

What you will need to be successful:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience with managing transactional finance teams, able to work as part of a team and also use their own initiative.

  • Experience of end-to-end transactional finance (ideally 5+ years)
  • Good attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamic (AX) or similar ERP system
  • Experience of working with external auditors for the annual audits
