Finance Manager - £30,000 - £35,000 - Reading

The company

Wade Macdonald are delighted to be working alongside a fantastic SME business in the Reading area, with fantastic all-round transport links from the Thames Valley.

The role

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this position is responsible for overseeing and processing the start-to-finish finance function, whilst managing a small transactional finance team. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Dealing with company management accounts, including bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets

  • Supporting the senior finance team with forecasting and budgeting

  • Management of company VAT returns

  • Cashflow forecasts

  • Ensuring all financial processes are dealt with in accordance to policy and procedure

  • Collating company payroll information prior to submission

What you'll need to be successful

In order to thrive in this role, the ideal candidate must hold the following skills and qualities:

  • A competent systems user, especially in Microsoft Office

  • Strong understanding of finance legislation and processing

  • ACCA/CIMA Part-Qualified

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work to deadlines under pressure

  • Experience of people management within a small team
