Finance Director, Slough, Hybrid, £70,000 - £85,000
My client, an Academy is looking for a Finance Director to join the Senior Leadership team and provide strategic oversight and management of the trusts finances.
What will your responsibilities in the role be?
- Oversee overall financial management, strategy development, and implementation for the Trust.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain robust financial controls, including budget preparation, financial reporting, and audit schedules.
- Provide financial analysis, insights, and support decision-making for the Board of Trustees and senior management.
- Manage payroll, bank reconciliations, cash flow, and grant compliance, fostering a culture of financial responsibility.
- Lead and develop a finance team, managing relationships with auditors, banks, and other stakeholders.
What experience do you need for the role?
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
- Evidence of senior leadership experience within a finance department of a school/academy.
- Experience of liaising with internal and external auditors, and board level working.
What else would add to your application?
- Previous experience of working in a school/trust.
- Previous experience of looking after IT for a medium to large organisation.
- Ability to work constructively as part of a team.
