My client is a long-established services company with headquarters in Central Guildford.
They are currently seeking a Credit Controller to join their team on an initial 12 month fixed term contract basis with many perks and benefits.
Full training will be provided and the progression opportunities within this firm are unlimited. The role would suit a candidate who is looking to move to a new, challenging Credit Control job with 1-2 years experience.
Alternatively this job may also suit a Finance Graduate with a keen interest in developing practical skills within a Finance Function of a large, firmly established multi-national business.
To be successful you will need to be a confident communicator who has strong Excel ability and an understanding of how a Credit Control function works.
The Credit Control team is an intrinsic part of the Finance function and you will be recognised and rewarded for hard work and positive results. The working environment and culture is high-spirited, dynamic, busy and very sociable.
Duties include:
Reducing overdue debt for an assigned section of a large high-volume Sales Ledger
Obtaining accurate payment using effective collection techniques via telephone/email
Accurate Sales Ledger data production and statement reporting using Excel
Account reconciliations and weekly / monthly reporting
Query investigation and resolution utilising internal contacts
Assisting the Cash Allocation Team
Customer account maintenance
Ad-hoc Billing and A/R tasks as required
The Candidate:
An understanding of how Finance receivable & payable functions work
Credit Control experience of +1 year
Must be well organised and flexible and capable of working to tight deadlines and KPI's
A good understanding of Excel spreadsheets and recording/reconciling large volumes of data
Outgoing, engaging personality and the ability to work with speed and accuracy
A contagious enthusiasm for continuous personal improvement
Consistently delivering the highest levels of performance
Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Credit Controller or a Finance Graduate looking to kick-start their career - with full training from the outset and excellent development opportunities.
