My client is an established, highly profitable FTSE listed business with headquarters near Farnborough. They are currently seeking an experienced Credit Analyst (underwriting) to join their large Finance team on a permanent basis.

Based in modern offices, this responsible role offers fantastic benefits a competitive salary + free parking.

The successful candidate will have over 2 years experience in a Credit review and analysis capacity, with quantifiable expertise in end-to-end underwriting of new business and the review of ongoing business for existing, future and annual increases.

You will be supporting various key Business units from an analytical forecasting, Financial reporting and costing perspective. You must be able to provide insight into business performance, providing key metrics and reporting. Experience in the Automotive sector is highly desirable.

Accuracy and attention to detail is key with this job. You will need to demonstrate your passion to think analytically and produce, reconcile, review & present financial information with a commercial focus.

Responsibilities :

  • Contribute to the gathering of information for the purposes of underwriting, compiling and completing credit reviews on new and existing customers.

  • Analyse data and present findings in a consistent and accurate manner.

  • Identify issues and exceptions and investigate and resolve diligently.

  • Prepare accurate and presentable documents and Credit reports.

  • Prioritise credit requests according to urgency, value and completeness

  • Handle Risk Alerts and assess, escalate or investigate as appropriate.

  • Maintain the a renewal schedule and co-ordinate with key partners in order to produce a consolidated report of available credit facilities

  • Prioritise credit requests according to urgency, value and completeness.

  • Develop strong working relationships with Asset, Risk, Finance and other internal Teams.

Person Specification :

  • Proven experience with minimum 2 years' experience in a Credit Analyst role.

  • Strong reporting experience, highly proficient with MS Excel.

  • Collaborative and commercial focus to all tasks.

  • Excellent communication and people engagement skills.

  • Understands key business drivers with track record of providing insights to senior business leaders.

  • Respond well to working under pressure.

  • High degree of initiative and the ability to drive actionable recommendations

  • Work towards team goals by supporting and sharing information with colleagues and other departments.

  • Self-motivated and able to project a positive outlook.
