Assistant Management Accountant - £27,000 - £29,000 + study support - Wokingham

The role

The Assistant Management Accountant will work in a busy and varied environment with the opportunity to acquire qualifications after probation. The duties will include:

  • Bank reconciliations and posting on a daily basis
  • Cash forecasting and material analysis on a weekly basis
  • Maintaining GRNI (Goods Received Not Invoiced), including checking, reconciling and reporting on findings
  • Managing prepayments and accruals
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Setting up new suppliers
  • Managing new credit card applications, setting up new Sales Execs with credit cards for expenses & managing credit card statements (including preparation of journals and monthly accruals)
  • Private Mileage deductions
  • Supporting contract preparation: checking claimed values, updating lotus notes
  • Managing of Joint Incentive Fund (JIF)
  • National Statistics submissions

What you'll need to be successful

A bright, positive outlook as well a keen eye for detail are paramount to being a successful Assistant Management Accountant with this company

  • Must have previous accruals, pre-payments and variance analysis experience
  • A confident and diplomatic attitude is necessary at times to push back
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills
  • Previous working knowledge of accounting principles and AP processes
  • Previous experience in a similar role essential
  • A pro-active self-starter who can demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced and varied environment
