Hybrid - Assistant Accountant - up to £30,000 - Oxford
The company
I am delighted to be working with fantastic research and development company based in Oxfordshire. With fast and continued growth this, well established, organisation is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their friendly and approachable finance team.
The role
- Reporting into the Senior manager of Accounting, some of the roles and responsibilities include:
- Purchase Ledger Management
- Credit control, including collections
- Producing supplier payment runs
- Dealing with purchase ledger enquiries
- Managing the sales ledger, including creation and issue of sales invoices
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Posting bank transactions and reconciling bank statements
- Posting month-end journals
- Assisting with month-end management accounts production process
- Ad hoc accounting duties as part of a growing finance department
What you'll need to succeed
- Experienced in use of accounting software (Sage 50 Preferably)
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Accurate data entry inputting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient intermediate level user of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel and Word
- Ability to work to and meet deadlines and to handle pressure
- An excellent level of attendance and timekeeping
Desirable
- Studying ACCA/CIMA OR AAT qualified
- Experienced in the usage of Sage 50
