Assistant Accountant - £22,000 - £28,000 + study support - Central Reading with parking

The role

Due to a period of growth this fantastic business is looking for a bright and enthusiastic Assistant Accountant to join their large and busy team. The duties of the Assistant Accountant will include:

  • Assisting with monthly balance sheet reconciliations

  • Assisting the Financial Accountant to ensure overhead costs are accounted for and allocated correctly

  • Ensuring an excellent level of financial integrity and audit trail

  • Developing an in-depth knowledge of the business and activities within other departments

  • Supporting the group and statutory financial preparation

  • Planning and organising other ad-hoc projects as requested

What you'll need to be successful

  • Previous experience in a Financial Accounting Team

  • ACCA, CIMA, AAT or equivalent qualifications (part qualified)

  • Advanced Excel Skills

  • Experience using SAP ideal but not essential

  • A positive and motivated personality with the desire to continually improve processes

  • Ability to take ownership of tasks

  • Confident communication skills

  • Willingness to work as part of a supportive team and assisting others where necessary
