General Ledger Specialist - Bracknell - £24,000 - £26,000 per annum + Study Support

The company
An international business in Bracknell, after a fantastic end to 2019 this business requires an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their finance team.

The role
This outstanding business are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their friendly dynamic team. Reporting into the Finance Manager you will be responsible for balance sheet reconciliations and monthly journal reporting. The duties of the Assistant Accountant will include:

  • Management of journals inclusive of uploading, posting, accruals & prepayments
  • Management of Fixed Assets
  • Monthly reconciliation of the balance sheet
  • Daily management of revenue recognition
  • Management of month end procedures
  • Calculate and prepare financial reports
  • Resolution of general ledger queries


What you'll need to be successful
With experience already gained and having already worked in a similar role you will have experience in the above duties. Working in a team you will need to have:

Previous experience in general ledger or a similar role

  • Must have a firm understanding of why balances exist in General Ledger and how they are calculated
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Good communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (v look ups & pivot tables)
  • A willingness to learn and take extra responsibilities
