My client, a long-established growing company with Headquarters in Reading Town Centre (RG1), are seeking a an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

The role would suit a candidate who has strong Excel skills and looking to gain further experience in Accounts Receivable in a large company.

To be successful you will need to be a confident communicator with good attention to detail and be able to demonstrate an understanding of how a Billing and Accounts Receivable function works as part of a Finance Team.

Duties Include:

  • Generate invoices using Finance system and excel spreadsheets.

  • Scan and email to invoices to internal and external stakeholders and file documents accurately.

  • Manage records of Purchase Order numbers.

  • Ongoing maintenance of client records.

  • Working with the wider business to resolve queries.

  • Assist credit control Team with sending out monthly statements.

The Candidate:

  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills

  • Prior experience in processing large volumes of Sales invoices

  • Experience in coding and invoice accruals with journals (training offered)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks with accuracy

  • Enjoy working on own initiative and as part of a team to deliver results, learn and share knowledge

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure

  • Feel comfortable working in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to build strong relationships cross functionally

  • Flexible attitude to cover work as required

  • Experience in using Netsuite would be an advantage
