Accounts Payable Manager

Reading, hybrid-working, £40,000 - £45,000

Wade Macdonald is currently partnering with a highly respected organisation who are well established within their industry sector and have gone from strength to strength, seeing substantial growth within the last few years.

About the role - key responsibilities:

Working within a large finance team, this role will be responsible for managing part of the AP function, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that procedures and processes are continuously improved and KPI reporting.

  • Managing a team of AP Clerks, training, performance management and upskilling the team
  • Producing information required for external audits or statutory reporting
  • Compiling payment runs
  • Dealing with payment escalations from stakeholders
  • Receiving and processing supplier invoices
  • Ensuring all supplier accounts are fully reconciled on a regular basis
  • Ensuring payments are correctly records in the Finance ERP system and that intercompany transactions are posted

What you will need to be successful:

  • Previous Accounts Payable Experience and working within a high-volume transactional team
  • Previous experience supervising or managing a team
  • Good MS Office skills (Excel in particular, VLOOKUP's and pivot tables)
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate at all levels within the business
  • Good team player with good time management and ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks.
  • AP Automation knowledge (ideally)
