Accounts Payable Manager

Bracknell, hybrid-working, £35,000 - £43,000

Wade Macdonald is currently partnering with a highly respected, global organisation who are very well established within their industry sector and have gone from strength to strength, seeing substantial growth within the last few years.

About the role - key responsibilities:

Working within a large finance team, this role will be responsible for managing part of the AP function, this will include overseeing the AP Team and processes, ensuring the correct posting, and coding of invoices, and payment within agreed timescales.

  • Managing a team of AP Clerks, training, performance management and upskilling the team
  • Reviewing the coding of invoices to ensure that costs are accurately allocated
  • Ensuring invoices and expense claims are paid accurately
  • Preparing monthly control schedules and reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
  • Responding to queries and requests from the business or auditors in a polite, helpful, and knowledgeable way
  • Ensuring that Finance requirements are fully represented when system developments or changes are considered
  • Overseeing management of the AP inbox

What you will need to be successful:

  • Previous Accounts Payable Experience and working within a high-volume transactional team
  • Good MS Office skills
  • Good bookkeeping skills and basic accounting knowledge,
  • Basic understanding of VAT, PAYE, and corporation tax rules
  • Effective use of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
