My client, based in Oxford are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis.

The role would suit a candidate who is well versed in Accounts Payable working best practices and has experience in running end to end process from booking to payment in multiple currencies within Global organisation.


Duties Include:

  • Responsible for processing supplier invoices (20-40 per day)
  • Checking invoices and ensuring validity
  • Inputting invoice details into the accounts system
  • Ensuring PO's and necessary authorisation are in place
  • Coding of invoices to ensure that they are booked correctly
  • Dealing with supplier queries with regards to invoices and payment of invoices
  • Responsible for weekly payment runs for both GBP and foreign currencies.
  • Responsible for ensuring cash book is maintained on a daily basis within the accounts system
  • Recording bank transactions for various bank accounts in different currencies)
  • Orderly filing of invoices on a regular basis
  • Loading payments and transfers via online banking portals.




The Candidate:

  • Experience in working with multiple Currencies USD, EUR, GBP
  • Solid Excel ability is essential including Vlookups, Pivot tables and reporting.
  • Used to runnig processes such as bookings, payments, bank reconciliation, cash books and invoice filing (all done remotely due to C19)
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills
  • Outgoing, engaging personality and the ability to work with speed and accuracy in a small team
  • Enjoy working on own initiative and as part of a team to deliver results, learn and share knowledge
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Feel comfortable working in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to build strong relationships and partner with the business





First stage interviews will be done remotely via video link and second stage will be completed in person with socially distanced methods in their modern spacious offices.

Training will be provided either remotely or on-site. Working from home due to Lockdown is the expectation for this role but their offices are open.
