Accounts Payable Clerk - Newbury - £25,000 - £28,000 - Hybrid

The company

An international technology business based in the Newbury require a Accounts Payable Clerk to join their friendly AP Team. This Great opportunity has come up due to the company going through a considerable amount of growth.

The role

This role provides an opportunity to help shape processes and support the business through upcoming Accounts Payable process changes.

  • Point of contact for larger supplier accounts
  • Reconciling and processing monthly netting agreements
  • Posting manual supplier payments
  • Processing of supplier invoices
  • Reconciliation of Supplier Statements
  • Reconciliation of the monthly credit card statement
  • Reviewing employee expenses
  • Dealing with supplier queries and resolving disputes
  • Reviewing all supplier accounts for the monthly creditors meeting
  • Providing system training to employees across the business on expenses,
  • Ad hoc duties to support the Purchase Ledger Manager and finance teams

What you'll need

Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • Prior experience in purchase ledger or an understanding of accountancy
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Motivated and enthusiastic
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Highly numerate
  • Strong Excel skills

Prior experience would be beneficial:

  • Shared Service AP processes
  • Invoice OCR scanning
  • Rollout of new finance systems/AP modules. Particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Improvement of purchase to pay processes
  • Introducing 3-way matching concepts/wide use of Purchase Orders
