Accounts Assistant - Theale - £23,000 - £25,000 per annum + benefits
The company
A fantastic national business based in Theale. Due to internal movement within the finance function, this business requires an Accounts Assistant to support with the daily accounts on a permanent basis.
The role
This outstanding business are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their small but busy team. Reporting into the Finance Manager you will be responsible for managing transactional finance functions, nominal ledgers and financial reporting. The duties of the Accounts Assistant will include:
Processing of purchase ledger invoices
Reconciliation of supplier statements
Management of payment runs
Maintenance of GRNI
Credit Control
Resolution of invoice and sales order queries
Chasing of debts
Updating of debtor reports
Daily posting of BACS & Cheques
Management of company and staff expenses
Sales & company performance reporting
Fixed assets
Stock reporting
What you'll need to be successful
With experience already gained and having already worked in a similar role you will have experience in the above duties. Working in a team you will need to have:
Previous experience in Bookkeeping or Accounts Assistant roles
Strong time management skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines
Good communication skills (written & verbal)
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (v look ups & pivot tables)
A willingness to learn and take extra responsibilities
