Accounts Assistant - Oxford - £25,000 - £28,000 per annum

The company

An impressive college in Oxford, due to a continued period of growth this college require an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their small but busy finance function.

The role

This long-standing excellent college are looking for an Accounts Assistant to assist with all financial transactions & financial reporting. Reporting into the College Accountant the duties of the Accounts Assistant will include:

  • Management of the Accounts Payable function

  • Management of the Accounts Receivable function

  • Monitoring and processing of employee expenses

  • Resolution of internal and external college queries

  • Assisting with the month end closure

  • Management of cost analysis

  • Assisting the accountant with ad-hoc duties

What you'll need to be successful

With experience already gained and having already worked in a similar role you will have experience in the above duties. Working in a team you will need to have:

  • AAT studier is desired but not essential

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work quickly and accurately

  • Good communication skills (written & verbal)

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (v look ups & pivot tables)

  • A willingness to learn and take extra responsibilities
