Accounts Assistant - Maidenhead - 1 month contract - £10 - £12 per hour

My client requires an accounts assistant for a 4 week period. This is a great opportunity to join a fast paced environment.

Our client is seeking a Rental Accounts Assistant to join their Maidenhead team.

Main Accountabilities

  • Responsible for responding to all requests in relation to rental direct debits.

  • To process new Direct Debits and changes including the processing of Direct Debit notifications from BACS. This includes cancellations, change of bank details and account closures.

  • Conduct quarterly checks of all Direct Debits, notifying customers of any changes.

  • Provide assistance to the Rent and Transactions Manager in the implementation of Annual Direct Debit increases following year end rent processes.

  • Oversee the sales ledger and monitor income received. This includes raising invoices to customers, chasing outstanding debt and reconciliation of the sales ledger accounts including month end process.

  • Manage company insurance for the organisation. This includes logging property and vehicle claims with insurance companies, liaising with staff and customers to resolve queries and monthly reconciliation of the insurance control account.

  • Daily extract of Rental Direct Debit payments due, creating BACS payment file for submission to banks to enable payment collection.

  • Reconcile interest bearing, deposit and sundry bank accounts for the organisation.

  • Work closely with Purchase Ledger Controller insuring that Purchase Ledger invoices are verified in a timlely manner ready for manager approval.

  • To raise repair recharge invoices as instructed by Asset Management to recover costs. To also upload charges to rent accounts for court costs, Housing Benefit Refunds.

  • Process customer refunds and raise utility bill recharges to residents.

  • Responsible for cash up of payment kiosk income, providing cover for the Purchase Ledger Controller and Rent & Transactions Manager as required.

  • To take on other duties commensurate with this post as directed/delegated by the Rent & Transactions Manager.

Experience
