Accounts Assistant

About the Job:
This full-time position requires an easy-going, motivated individual to join the accounts team. The role involves a variety of tasks to support the smooth running of the finance department, however the main responsibility is the processing of the purchase ledger.
Duties will include:
- Cash and journal postings
- Inputting and printing invoices, matching them to delivery notes
- Making payments and reconciling supplier statements
- Handling queries related to supplier statements
- Assisting the Finance Manager with VAT returns, month-end processes, and management accounts
- Providing general administrative support
- Training in various accounts office tasks to cover absences and holidays
About the Successful Applicant:
The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well within a team. Prior experience in an accounts role and proficiency in using accounting software are desirable.
