School Accountant - Ascot - £16 - £18 per hour - Two Months
A school based in Ascot are seeking a School Accountant to work closely with the Bursar. The School Accountant will be an important part in the day-to-day financial operations of a Bursary team. The School Accountant will assist in budget planning, budget monitoring, preparation of statutory accounts, financial returns and reporting.
The maintenance of comprehensive up-to-date accounting records for the school
Manage the Fixed Assets register
Line management responsibility for the Assistant Accountant
Assist the Bursar in preparation of the school's annual budgets as well as termly and year end accounts
Undertake bank reconciliations for the school
Manage and maintain the nominal ledger
Ensure that the fixed assets register is kept up to date
Production of monthly financial reports as required
The Successful Candidate:
You will have a strong finance background and ideally have worked within education. Th ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of best practice in accounting and be able to demonstrate skills in the preparation of annual accounts.
