Senior VAT Accountant, Basingstoke, Hybrid, £55,000 - £65,000
My client, a market leading manufacturing business in an exciting industry is looking for a Senior VAT Accountant to join the team and support the Financial Controller on Intrastat, VAT and ad-hoc projects.
What will your responsibilities in the role be?
- Take the lead on all preparation of VAT returns and EC sales lists, collaborating with cross-functional that VAT is correctly accounted for on all transactions.
- Reviewing Intrastat reports and preparing returns in a timely manner, including investigation of errors and discrepancies.
- Preparing and monitoring branch tax reporting and compliance for 10 EU branches, liaising with the EU advisors in respect of tax matters.
What experience do you need for the role?
- Excellent Excel Skills.
- Experience of VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales with a European remit.
- Accounting degree or professional qualification such as ACCA.
What else would add to your application?

- Experience with Oracle, specifically Oracle Financials
- Excellent communication skills
