Head of Finance - Oxford - £70,000 - Office based
Wade Macdonald are pleased to be working with this well-known Company in relation supporting them find their next Head of Finance.
The Head of Finance position will have ownership of the complete finance function and will manage a small team.
The aim will be to help drive growth by: improving cash flows, controlling costs, and providing accurate, timely and insightful reporting to the senior management of both companies and their parent company. You will work closely with the Group Finance Director controlling cashflow and ensuring that the systems and controls are in place to deliver accurate monthly accounts and leading a timely annual audit process.
The role is office based at the Company Head Quarters in Oxford.
The Role
- P&L & cashflow management, delivering against KPIs and budget
- Accurate & timely delivery of month end and annual audited accounts
- Maintain and improve key controls, focusing on stock, AP & AR
- Oversee a controlled AP process from PO through to payment, partner with production manager to reduce costs and increase payment terms
- Payroll – shared responsibility with HR to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Work with SMT to ensure robust financial controls on all risk areas Planning & Reporting to Group
- Preparation of annual budget (and forecasts as required)
- Regular cash flow forecasting and variance analysis versus previous Business Partnering
- Assist the Group FD to drive quality and profitability throughout the production processes of both companies
- Develop the reporting required to run two production businesses as effectively and efficiently as possible.
Experience Required
Qualified Accountant
Manufacturing experience
