Job Title: Group Financial Controller- £90,000 - £100,000

Location: South Oxfordshire

Wade Macdonald is currently recruiting a Financial Controller for a rapidly growing and well-known Manufacturing company based in South Oxfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity to lead their finance department, ensuring the smooth operation of financial activities while contributing to the growth and success of the organisation. 

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting and Financial Controls:

  • Oversee control accounts and reconcile financial data.
  • Review and validate management account journals.
  • Ensure accuracy in monthly management accounts.

Statutory & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with HMRC and other tax regulations.
  • Manage the annual external audit process.
  • Prepare annual data and reports for our insurance broker.
  • Collaborate with taxation advisors to meet all taxation deadlines.
  • Review and approve quarterly VAT returns.
  • Prepare annual R&D tax claim submissions.

Treasury and Cash Management:

  • Monthly hedge management.
  • Monitor and manage FX exposure through intergroup transfers.
  • Assess and mitigate interest rate risks in collaboration with lenders.
  • Prepare and submit monthly management information to lenders.
  • Manage debt and interest payments effectively.

Payroll:

  • Review and approve monthly payroll.
  • Oversee payroll-related reporting to employees, including P60s and P11Ds.
  • Manage all reporting and payments to HMRC associated with payroll.

Direct Reports:

  • Lead and mentor a team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software.

Salary

£90,000 - £100,000 plus benefits
