Credit Risk Manager - Permanent - £50,000 DOE - Hampshire

My Client, a long-established business in Hampshire are currently seeking an experienced Credit Risk Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

If you have +5 years experience in UK based client focused loan finance and credit risk underwriting analysis then this is an amazing opportunity to take the next step in your career.

Reporting in to a Credit Manager (Asset Finance) here is the scope of the job:

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing a complex and diverse portfolio of borrowers

  • Work with clients to help identify key risks and structure proposals accordingly to mitigate risk

  • Experience of interpreting and understanding accounts and customer business models

  • Working closely with stakeholders and partnering with multi faceted groups of intermediaries

  • Preparation of detailed, informative reports on potential customers with supporting commentary

  • Providing guidance to customers on credit policy and conditions

  • Drive continuous improvement while challenging processes and procedures

  • Build effective relationships including office / client visits.

The Candidate:

  • Proven track record of commercial underwriting new business in a financial environment

  • Demonstrable understanding of asset finance including associated Credit risks

  • Display a solid understanding of asset classes, depreciation, ease of recovery and resale

  • Ability to interpret complex financial statements, with a clear understanding of cash flow cycle

  • A track record of adding real business value and able to communicate at Board level

  • Good interpersonal and influencing skills

  • Proven analytical skills

  • Advanced written and presentation skills

  • Enthusiasm for continuous improvement and consistently delivering the highest levels of performance
