Assistant Financial Accountant
Didcot, hybrid-working, £28,000 - £35,000 plus study support
Wade Macdonald is currently partnered with a multinational organisation based in Didcot, who are actively looking to appoint an Assistant Financial Accountant. A market leader within their industry sector, this role presents a progressive opportunity to join a sizeable organisation who will provide a structured career path.
What will be the responsibilities in this role?
- Assist with preparing statutory accounts
- Assist with the preparation of the company management accounts
- Support with the preparation of account reconciliation and preparing VAT returns
- Assist with the preparation of reporting to key stake holders in the UK and also helping prepare reports for overseas parent company
What are they looking for?
This would suit someone who has either achieved a 2:1 in a numerical degree, with some relevant accounting experience or someone who has completed their AAT or begun studying towards ACCA or CIMA.

Achieved a 2:1 in a numerical degree with previous accounting knowledge or actively studying towards ACCA/CIMA

Strong communication skills and a good attention to detail

Ability to manage your own workload to meet deadlines and use your own initiative to identify areas of improvement

Microsoft office proficiency (intermediate Excel skills)

Previous experience of SAP or a complex accounting system (advantageous not a necessity)
