Accounts Assistant - £22,000- £25,000 - Berkshire

Exceptional opportunity for someone who is ideally AAT qualified to join an impressive company on the outskirts of Reading. This thriving business with a great team environment is currently seeking someone to undertake:

  • Responsibility for the cash books

  • Entering of receipts and payments including foreign currencies

  • Daily bank reconciliation to bank statements including foreign currencies

  • Maintenance of petty cash book

  • Responsibility for the sales ledger

  • Prepare monthly sales analysis

  • Forecasting monthly cash receipts

  • Control of sales invoice and credit notes

  • Updating daily sales figure

  • Maintenance and reconciliation of control account

  • Month end procedures including monthly statements

  • Maintain proof of export records for export sales

  • Credit control

  • Opening new customer accounts & obtaining the necessary references

  • Maintaining customer deposit reconciliations

  • Occasionally assisting with processing purchase ledger invoices

  • VAT

  • Adhoc assistance to the FD

This would really suit someone who has studied AAT or perhaps has experience in a varied finance role. You will need to have experience of working in a manufacturing environment and be used to also working with an ERP system (eg: SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards). This is a hands on role so you need to be able to multi-task and really get involved across all the areas of the job.
