WM 2023 Salary Guide

This time last year, when we released our 2022 guide, businesses were starting to regain confidence after 3 months without pandemic restrictions, the recruitment market had just picked up and we were about to enter a period which was named ‘the great resignation’. However, salaries had been generally flat as we had just experienced 18 months of pandemic trauma and despite all the government help, businesses were being relatively cautious regarding cost increases.

However, much has changed! Over the last 12 months, the market has recovered miraculously, job vacancies have been, and remain, at an all-time high and we have seen some of the largest percentage growths in salary that most of us can remember. Outside of salaries, the pandemic has massively influenced people’s priorities in life and what is most important to them. This years guide shares the result of a survey of nearly 1200 people, which shows which benefits they value most highly – and it has changed from pre-pandemic.

This years’ guide continues to focus on our core specialisms in the Thames Valley and surrounding areas:

  • Accountancy & Finance - Transactional, Part-Qualified, Qualified and Executive.

  • Tax & Treasury

  • Payroll

  • Credit Control and Accounts Receivable

  • Audit and Risk Compliance

  • Human Resources including all sub specialisms i.e. Learning & Development and Employee Relations

We always aim to provide you with more than just salaries so alongside this sits research into top rated workplace benefits and as always, advice for job seekers and organisations.
