I’m representing a strong, well-rounded Assistant Accountant, based in Slough who are seeking their next role. They are a 2.1 Finance and Accounting graduate and part-qualified (ACCA, 6 exams left), with experience working closely with the senior finance team (Financial Controller and Finance Director) covering transactional finance, balance sheets, preparing financial statements, budgeting, and assisting with month and year-end but seeking a step up in terms of exposure. 1 Months' notice.
Applied accounting and financial skills to perform AP Transactions, Cash Flow and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Ensuring accurate and efficient accounting while also managing all financial aspects of the daily operations of different companies within the group, including the preparation and review of the financial statements
Assisting with the financial setup of a new business start-up within the group
Creating and implementing numerous systems within the financial department that significantly increased productivity, accuracy, and efficiency of the accounting practices of the department
Addressed problems as they arose and developed strategic solutions therefore cutting costs
Analysed and interpreted complex data and provided detailed financial reporting for the executive team
Responsible for budget oversight and assisting with month-end, year-end, and audits, including tasks such as accruals and prepayments
Utilised a range of accounting software and technologies including Microsoft Dynamics and Sage50
