Accountant - £41,000 to £43,000
I am currently representing an organised and detail-focused Accountant with many years’ experience in a wide range of industries. Fully knowledgeable in management accounts, statutory/final accounts, fixed assets, VAT, payroll, budgeting/ forecasting, balance sheet reconciliations, profit and loss reviews/variance reporting, accrual and prepayments and systems implementation. A completer finisher who prefers to be hands on with a good track record of effective organisation of priorities who are qualified by experience.
Current responsibilities include:
Preparation and scheduling of capital projects
Review of project budgets and delivery reporting, investigating any unexpected variances
Project accounting – working with project managers to ensure all costs are processed and projects are capitalised on completion
Fixed asset accounting – processing of month end asset processing including depreciation posting
Process forms for asset retirements, sold/scrapped, ensuring sufficient documentation is attached
Tracking and reporting of core performance metrics
Establish and maintain a control environment for all key processes
Lead asset audits within the wider business on a periodic basis, ensuring that a clear schedule of assets to be audit each year
Preparation or annual budget and monthly rolling forecast for fixed assets
Preparation of UK Corporation tax returns for Fixed assets
Ownership of relevant process documentation for fixed assets
