Industrial Relations & Business Change Lead - Weybridge - up to £90,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance + Benefits

The company

Wade Macdonald is working with a global company who is going through a huge amount of change! In this role you will be required to lead the ER elements of critical business change projects in support of the EMEA HR Priorities and Business Objectives.

The role

  • Define and execute the Industrial Relations and Business Change strategy that creates a positive environment within which to manage organisational change and reduce the risk of employment related litigation.

  • Operating in a complex consultative and legislative environment, the role will ensure effective IR strategy, monitoring and co-ordination across EMEA providing expert advice to functional and local HR teams where necessary.

  • Responsible for creating an effective European Works Council and other representative forums as appropriate with a view to securing employee engagement and legal compliance.

  • Provide subject matter expertise on consultation requirements across Europe, in particular with social partners (i.e. national works councils and trade unions), providing end-to-end employee communication and consultation strategy and planning

  • Lead the provision of ER technical expertise and strategy on restructuring across EMEA

  • Lead a team of ER Specialists to provide necessary supervision and co-ordination of activity; ensuring team provide fit for purpose advice and strategy; formulating necessary principles where necessary.

  • Advise on and lead team to execute restructures, business mergers, acquisitions and divestment across EMEA. In particular, provide of ER technical expertise and strategy on business change projects (including restructuring; redundancies; business mergers, acquisitions and divestment), with EMEA-wide scope to enable the business to execute on commercial strategy.

What you'll need to be successful

You must have experience of working in a Global organisation with experience working and consulting with regulatory bodies / works councils and extensive knowledge of European legislative consultation framework using this to respond to legal issues. You will have Senior ER Experience, notably handling of large organisational business change initiatives and globalisation.
