Head of Finance - up to £60,000, Hybrid, Reading - Full or Part-time considered
Wade Macdonald's client is looking for an experienced and qualified Head of Finance to join their small and closeknit team on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to lead the small Finance team and have full responsibility for the finance function of the well known local business.
The successful Head of Finance will report to the CEO and the board, and in conjunction with the other SMT, will be responsible for setting and achieving the organisation's strategic aims.
The Successful Candidate will:
- Work with the other functions and Executive team to formulate and implement financial strategy for the organisation
- Build, lead and develop a highly effective finance team ensuring each resource is deployed to maximum effect
- Develop financial reporting procedures and financial systems
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of financial statements and management accounts
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and tax legislation
- Assisting the Executive & Management team with financial advice and support
- Manage a team of 2 direct reports and a dotted line to a third
The Ideal Candidate will bring:
- Experience of management of a finance team, ideally
- An Accountancy Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent
- A proven track record in the management of month and year-end accounts processing, budgeting and forecasting
- Excellent communication & problem-solving skills
- Advanced user of MS Office packages, Excel and finance software
- Ability to plan and work to strict deadlines
