Financial Accountant - Central London - £45,000

Wade Macdonald is currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant for a highly respected and well known £700 million t/o property related business based in Central London.

The role of Financial Accountant is key to maintaining, examining, analysing and reporting the organisation's financial information.

You will oversee and administer the organisation's day-to-day finance functions. Be responsible for ensuring that the chart of accounts is complete, accurate, reconciled and up-to-date for all internal and external reporting and statutory deadlines. Prepare financial information, variance analysis and KPIs to support business monitoring and decision-making. Support the team to produce timely, high quality management reporting.

You will ensure that all financial information is captured and recorded in a timely and accurate manner. Ensuring that all transactions are input into the finance system with correct coding and details. Overseeing and supporting payment runs such that they operate smoothly and accurately and ensuring that all authorised debt is settled in on a timely basis. Preparing monthly financial accounts to trial balance, including taking full ownership of and working with the Senior Accounts Assistant on month end tasks: Ensuring timely balance sheet maintenance and controls, including performing or monitoring ledger reconciliations, computing monthly accruals and prepayments, fixed asset registration and calculations, other month end journals etc.

Preparing bi-weekly cash reports and cash flow forecasts, including liaising with external asset managing adviser and internal business unit heads to manage cash efficiently and effectively.

Preparing draft property and financial investments reporting packs including: Summaries of management information; Property manager KPIs reports; Detailed financial information for individual properties; Investment allocation reports; Investment performance analysis including comparison to benchmarks; Variance analysis and commentary; Portfolio movement reports.

The successful Financial Accountant will be degree educated and a qualified (ACA ,ACCA OR CIPFA) Financial Accountant with a proven record of creating and developing Excel spreadsheets to perform new tasks or improve the efficiency of existing tasks. Experience in any of the following: property accounting; investment accounting or charity accounting will be highly beneficial.
