Financial Accountant Based Reading, Berkshire £30,000-£35,000

Superb opportunity for an active part qualified studier: ACCA or CIMA to join a growing organisation in Reading you will join a well-established, friendly finance team with great opportunities to progress in the future.


You will have a varied role preparing and interpreting financial reports, analysing month-end, acting as a business partnering across the organisation and assisting with budgeting and forecasting.


KEY AREAS OF DUTY & RESPONSIBILITY
Assist in producing timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and yearly management accounts
Preparation of Group and Tax Packs at the financial year-end
Assist in producing timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and yearly management accounts
Reconciliation of the Cashbook and other accounts, investigating variances
Completion and Submission of VAT, Intrastat & EC Sales
Produce monthly reports for group reporting purposes, including Business Review and Cash Flow forecasts
Assist in the production of budget and re-forecasts, delivery of all budgetary information and analyses in line with business strategic plans
Provide information to and review performance with the cost centre managers to enable them to monitor and manage their budgets
Liaise with Accounts Receivables & Accounts Payables department in order to ensure up-to-date transaction processing
Identify non-value added activities and find cost effective methods to minimise time spent on such activities.

Ideally you will be Part Qualified Accountant with experience of processing journals and bank transactions. You must be proficient in the use of Microsoft software applications, with advanced excel skills. You will be a self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills who can clearly explain financial information to non-financial personnel.
