My client is an innovative technology business based in central Reading. They are currently seeking an experienced Credit Controller who will join their team on a permanent basis.


You will be responsible for a fully 360°, all encompassing Credit Control and Accounts Receivable process with full cash flow forecasting and reporting responsibility.


The successful candidate will need to drive and monitor robust Credit Control processes across a complex and varied EMEA customer base, ensuring accurate cash flow forecasting and remaining hands-on with collections and order hold/release processes across EMEA.


You will need to display an inquisitive and pro-active nature in order to seek out payment and to partner with key stakeholders in order to resolve intricate queries promptly and efficiently.


You will also hold overall responsibility for monitoring, reconciling and collating Ledger data in order to produce accurate periodic & ad-hoc reporting with detailed commentary.



  • Oversee the credit control processes for all EMEA sales related debtors

  • Managing the timely collection of all debts in accordance with agreed Credit/Payment terms

  • Dealing with complex billing queries or disputes

  • Ensure that cash management processes and billing tasks are completed in a timely manner

  • Produce month-end reports and ad-hoc cash flow commentary on a timely basis

  • Monitor and drive Key Performance Indicators

  • Ensure robust credit risk analysis, limit setting and review for new and existing customers

  • Examining A/R processes / implementing change

  • Receivables Cash management and allocation



The Candidate:

  • Proven experience as an A/R or Credit Control Specialist

  • Ideally CICM qualified or studying

  • Measurable and demonstrable track record of autonomous, proactive, technical and effective collections methods

  • A contagious enthusiasm for continuous improvement and consistently delivering the highest levels of performance

  • Outgoing, engaging personality and the ability to challenge and improve Credit Control methodology

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks

  • Managing Credit Insurance and Cross border Credit Risk exposure

  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Advanced Excel skills for reconciliations and reporting
