My client is a long-established, service-led business headquartered in Bracknell. They are currently seeking a high calibre, talented, Credit Control Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

You will oversee the Credit Control team with responsibility for a diverse Sales Ledger and the associated commercial links within the business.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate exceptional people management and coaching skills and have a strong track record in operational level team leadership.

You will be required to build long-standing relationships both internally within the business and with external and cross-border stakeholders.

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the credit control & Credit & Collections

  • Managing the timely collection of all debts in accordance with agreed Credit/Payment terms

  • Deal with escalated billing queries or disputes

  • Carry out credit worthiness assessment on new and existing customers

  • Full Sales Ledger responsibility including cash allocation

  • Ensure that cash Management processes are completed in a timely manner

  • DSO monitoring and reporting

  • Drive litigation processes where appropriate

  • Monitor and drive Key Performance Indicators and Staff development

  • Hosting one to one reviews and setting goals to ensure targets are achieved

The Candidate:

  • A Credit Manager/Supervisor/Team Leader with +5 years experience in managing and motivating a diverse team collections staff

  • SME and small company Sales Ledger management experience

  • Excellent negotiation, leadership and influencing skills

  • A track record of adding real operational and strategic business value

  • A contagious enthusiasm for continuous improvement and consistently delivering the highest levels of performance

  • Outgoing, engaging personality and the ability to work with a diverse portfolio of debtors

  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Access Dimensions systems experience and Advanced Excel is desirable
