Credit Control Administrator - up to 20,500 + 10% bonus - Permanent - Reading

My client is a long-established FMCG company based near junction 12 of the M4, Reading. They are currently seeking a Credit Control Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis.

The role would suit a candidate who is looking for a route into Finance to gain experience. The Credit Control team is an intrinsic part of the Finance function and you will be recognised and rewarded for hard work and positive results.

There is a 10% bonus attached to this role in addition to free parking and other benefits. The working environment and culture is high-spirited, dynamic, busy and very sociable.

Duties include:

  • Full Sales Ledger administration and maintenance.

  • Providing Administrative support to the Credit Control Team.

  • Billing and electronic invoice management.

  • Client online portal management - uploading Sales Ledger invoices.

  • Distribution of invoices and credit notes daily (rota basis) to the Team.

  • Print and distribution of Customer statements monthly to the Team.

  • Monitoring multiple email inboxes.

  • Monitoring stop processes and held orders in the system.

  • Generating Direct Debit runs.

  • Assisting the Credit Control Team with invoicing issues and query resolution.

  • Customer account maintenance.

  • Ad-hoc billing and A/R tasks as required.

The Candidate:

  • Obtain an understanding of how Finance receivable & payable functions work.

  • Must be well organised, flexible and capable of working to tight deadlines and KPI's.

  • A good understanding of Excel spreadsheets and recording/reconciling large volumes of data.

  • Outgoing, engaging personality and the ability to work with speed and accuracy.

  • A drive and ambition for continuous personal improvement.

  • Consistently delivering the highest levels of performance.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external business unit Managers.

  • Sage systems experience is desirable but not essential.

  • Strong Excel Skills are a pre-requisite; data manipulation, reconciliation and Vlookup.
