How to de-risk your supply chain
for a sustainable future

Our first 'round' table event and first in person event since the pandemic, hosted by ourselves Wade Macdonald and Novo-K.

Can sustainability help deliver business performance? Are Finance Directors the sustainability leaders of the future? Is the finance function critical in helping its business build a more sustainable future?

These are key questions we are going to explore during our FD event session, where we will also discuss the impact on supply-chains due to recent geopolitical events and the fallout of covid and Brexit.

Join us for an interactive session and hear from other finance leaders about their challenges and plans as the business world moves to a more sustainable future.  We will also hear from Simon King (ex CPO of Mitie) about Mitie’s journey to becoming an ESG leader.

Simon King - Senior Sustainability Leader

Simon is an experienced ESG senior leader, most recently he repositioned the UK's leading Facilities Management company (£4.5 billion revenue & 78,000 employees) as an ESG high-performer. This included launching Plan Zero, a commitment to net zero by 2025 of which a 35% carbon reduction in the first two years has already been achieved. Plan Zero also encompassed decarbonisation services for clients with over 350,000 tonnes saved. Alongside Plan Zero Simon launched a Social Value Framework and targets, significantly improved Mitie's ESG rating with all major rating agencies and rolled out the largest pure electric vehicle fleet in the UK with over 2,200 EVs on the road.

Prior to ESG Simon was a Global Chief Procurement Officer, having worked for Tata Group (TGB), Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) and Dairy Crest. He led the successful creation of a greenfield global procurement function at TGB and delivered significantly increased value through functional transformation at both CCE and Dairy Crest. This blend of ESG and Commercial expertise allows Simon to understand and provide insight into how sustainability can be successfully integrated into the wider organisational strategy to deliver improved business performance.
