​Nicky joined Wade Macdonald in January 2021 looking after all compliance and database management as well as picking some ad hoc back office projects.

Having started her career as a trainee ACA accountant with a big 4 accountancy firm, she quickly realised she preferred recruiting accountants than actually being one herself! She spent nearly 25 years with a large corporate recruiter, using her sector experience to recruit finance and accountancy roles in practice. Her time there included several regional director roles with their finance, office support, procurement, legal and HR specialisms. During that period she also became the national director for the procurement specialism, having set up an exclusive partnership with CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply).

Knowing how important career choices are in a person’s life, Nicky’s enjoys nothing more than being part of that process and is passionate about making the candidate’s experience with Wade Macdonald a good one! Whilst we don’t get to meet as many people face to face in the new world, communication (in whatever form) is key and is a big part of Nicky’s job. She loves being part of the Wade Macdonald family and everything it brings with it.

A bit more work life balance now means Nicky gets to spend more time with her family and friends as well as still being a long suffering Bolton Wanderers supporter. Throw in a bit of yoga, a new singing group and a love of baking sourdough bread in more recent years - that’s what happens with age!
