Wade Macdonald celebrates outstanding growth, renews relationship with Steve Carter

Wade Macdonald, a leading recruitment and search firm based in the Thames Valley, is celebrating a year of outstanding growth.

This is at a time when many agencies have struggled due to the economic uncertainty of Brexit.

Dominic Wade, who co-founded the agency, credits a solid strategy that helped see them flourish in a challenging year for recruitment.

That strategy was heavily influenced by Steve Carter, an industry veteran who has been serving as a non-executive director at Wade Macdonald since 2015.

“It was a simple but brilliant strategy from Steve that saw us through,” says Dominic.

“Rather than getting worked up about what was going on in Whitehall and Brussels, he challenged us to focus on what we could control internally.”

That advice helped the agency gain significant market share, and more importantly, deliver even better service for candidates and clients.

Following the year’s success, Steve has agreed to continue in his advisory role at Wade Macdonald.

He will help to navigate regulatory and political changes with a simple focus: know what you do best, and do it better than anyone else.

“Recruiters can only thrive if they are acutely aware of where they add value,” Steve said.

“Wade Macdonald does that with a relentless focus on quality and relationships, which keeps people coming back.

“They have an exciting year ahead, and I’m grateful to be part of that journey.”
